		<td><div class="news"> <div id='news-id-631'><div>Нападение немецко-фашистских захватчиков на нашу страну по­требовало от советских железнодорожников выполнения в кратчай­шие сроки огромного объема перевозок по мобилизации и сосредоточе­нию армии и по эвакуации людей и промышленности из западных районов в восточные. Железные дороги были переведены на военное положение. Железнодорожникам приходилось работать в условиях воздушных налетов и затемнения. Несмотря на это, они своевременно доставляли-на фронт поезда с войсками, боевой техникой, горючим, продовольствием. Благодаря технической реконструкции, осущест­вленной в период предвоенных пятилеток, самоотверженности, героиз­му и творческой инициативе железнодорожников советский транспорт выдержал в годы войны такую нагрузку, с которой едва ли справился бы транспорт другой страны.<br />За годы войны фашистами было разрушено 65 тыс. км железно­дорожного пути, 13 тыс. железнодорожных мостов, 4100 станций, 317 паровозных депо. Повреждено и увезено 15 800 паровозов и мотово­зов, 428 тыс. вагонов. Обстановка военного времени требовала прове­дения большого объема работ по восстановлению существующих и строительству новых железнодорожных линий. В годы войны было построено около 5 тыс км новых железных дорог, в том числе линия Акмолинск &mdash;Карталы, Печорская магистраль и др.<br />В послевоенной пятилетке железнодорожный транспорт не толь­ко залечил раны войны, но и продвинулся вперед в своем развитии. Однако огромный рост грузооборота потребовал коренного перевоору­жения железных дорог, замены старой техники, которая к тому вре­мени уже не отвечала предъявляемым требованиям. Техническая от­сталость железных дорог проявлялась прежде всего в применении малоэкономичной паровозной тяги, имеющей крайне низкий коэф­фициент полезного действия.<br />ЦК КПСС и Совет Министров СССР, учитывая все возрастающие потребности народного хозяйства в перевозках, приняли в 1956 г. решение «О Генеральном плане электрификации железных дорог». В соответствии с решениями XX съезда КПСС значительно ускори­лось техническое перевооружение транспорта. Началась большая ра­бота по электрификации железнодорожных линий и внедрению теп­ловозной тяги.<br />Введение в опытную эксплуатацию участка Ожерелье&mdash;Павелец в 1956 г. явилось началом внедрения на железных дорогах СССР прогрессивной системы однофазного тока промышленной частоты.<br />В 1957 г. был завершен перевод рабочего парка вагонов на ав­тосцепку. Большие работы по технической реконструкции железных дорог осуществлялись в последующие годы.<br />Бурное развитие всех отраслей народного хозяйства СССР и неуклонное повышение материального благосостояния трудящихся сопровождаются непрерывным и быстрым ростом грузооборота и пассажирооборота на железнодорожном транспорте (рис. 1).</div>
